1) Quality standards

All work is carried out in accordance with BS7671:2018 (IET Wiring regulations 18th Edition) The installation will comply with part P of the building regulations (2013) where required. On completion DMC Electrical will issue the relevant certification and inform your local building control office of the nature of the works carried out.

2) Guarantee

DMC Electrical guarantees all workmanship for a life time from completion, provided that the work is not altered or interfered with in any way (including third party repairs) materials and components are subject to manufacturers warranty. All installation work is covered by the NICEIC 6 year insurance-backed warranty scheme

3) Disruption

Power may be shut off as work is carried out. Flooring maybe lifted to provide access in order to run in new cables, the installer may need to open channels in the ceiling and/or walls, they will fill these channels to a bonding coat only. This may not apply to every project but the electrician will advise you on the day.

4) Damage

DMC Electrical will take every care to avoid any damage during the execution of the works, however, dependent on the age of the property and the type of work contracted it is possible that some damage may be inevitable, ie cracking or breaking of dried floor boards, cracks to plaster near channelling, carpets not refitting tightly. We cannot be held responsible for the repairs to such damage.

5) Payment

DMC Electrical will require the payment of a deposit prior to works commencing at 40% of the total quoted, unless otherwise agreed no other payments will be expected until the work is completed to a satisfactory level. Upon satisfactory completion the balance of the monies quoted will become due. Larger projects may require interim payments, which would always be agreed in advance. DMC Electrical will accept BACS cash or cheques made payable to Darren McDonald a/c 24660684 sort code 04-03-33 All materials including fittings, cables and other components supplied by DMC Electrical remain their property until full and final payment is received. Any late payments will be forwarded to Beaumont Recovery Agency and their charges will be added to any amounts owed.

6) Working practices

  1. Agreed additional works (not previously quoted for) will be charged at the minimum rate of £80 per hour unless otherwise agreed
  2. All fittings and components will be white plastic conforming to British Safety Standards unless agreed prior to work starting
  3. DMC Electrical will provide materials and labour unless otherwise stated
  4. DMC Electrical will require access to the property on days agreed. The job duration quoted assumes a vacant property where necessary and no delays or disruptions by other trades Any delays could result in additional charges
  5. DMC Electrical will not be responsible for waste removal
  6. Certificates, where required, will be forwarded on receipt of full payment
  7. Parking permits are to be provided, where required or parking charges will be added to final invoice
